Wise Referral Code 2026: How to Find, Share, and Use One

Everything you need to know about Wise referral codes in 2026: how they work, how to use one for a free transfer, and how to share your own code with friends.

A Wise referral code is a short alphanumeric string, typically 8 to 12 characters, tied to an existing Wise customer's account. When a new user enters it during sign-up, they receive a reward (usually a fee-free first transfer up to £500) and the person who shared the code may also earn a bonus. It is Wise's way of rewarding customers who spread the word.

What Is a Wise Referral Code?

Unlike a promo code that a company issues to thousands of strangers, a Wise referral code is personal. It is generated from a real user's account and linked back to them. When you use one, you are essentially getting an introduction from someone already trusted by Wise. The code can be used by many different people, it is not single-use or time-limited.

What Do You Actually Get?

Wise's standard referral reward gives new users a fee-free first transfer up to £500 GBP (or approximately €600 / $700 equivalent at current rates). The fee waiver is applied automatically, you will see zero fees before you confirm the transfer, with no voucher or claim form needed. Opening a Wise account itself is also free, with no monthly charges.

Then follow these steps: go to wise.com/register, create your account with name and email, complete identity verification (required by financial regulations), and when prompted enter the referral code in the 'Got an invite code?' field. Make any transfer up to £500 and the fee is waived automatically before you confirm.

Can You Enter a Referral Code After Already Signing Up?

Yes. If you already have a Wise account, you can still add a referral code. Log in, open the menu, and navigate to Refer a friend. Look for the 'Got an invite code?' field, enter the code, and save it. The fee-free reward will then apply to your next qualifying transfer. The key rule: the code must be saved before you make the qualifying transfer, not after.

How to Find Your Own Code to Share With Friends

Once you have a Wise account, your personal referral code is in your profile. On the app, go to Profile → Refer a friend. On the website, open the menu and select Refer a friend. You will see both a shareable invite link and your short referral code. Share either, they deliver the same reward. You can share your code as many times as you like.

Wise Referral Code vs Promo Code, Is There a Difference?

Functionally, no: both types of code unlock a reward during sign-up. The distinction is in origin. A promo code (sometimes called a discount code) is issued by Wise's marketing team for campaigns. A referral code comes from an existing customer. In practice, Wise no longer runs many broad promo-code campaigns, the referral programme is the main way new users access a sign-up reward. If you see a site promising a special "Wise promo code," it is almost certainly a referral code by another name.

Is There a Limit on How Many People Can Use the Same Code?

No. A single Wise referral code can be used by an unlimited number of new sign-ups. The code is not a one-time token, it is tied to the inviter's account and remains active as long as their account is open. This means the code on our referral code page works just as well whether you are the first person to use it or the thousandth.
